Over 400 kty polyethylene (PE) production facility in Texas. Facilitated a DHA assessment based upon internal standard, NFPA 652/654 standards, and CCPS Guidelines for Combustible Dust Assessments. For the facility, a qualitative risk assessment was used as the DHA traditional technique. The approach taken for the DHA is consistent with what is recommended in NFPA 652/654 & client's standard , as well as CCPS guidance. It included a 12-step process to identify parts of the system to be evaluated, standard operating conditions, hazards associated, and review for risk gaps. Supported as DHA facilitator.
